Alice & Alex's London Wedding
Castigliano bride Alice married Alex in a beautiful wedding this Spring at the Corinthia Hotel in London.
The couple first met at University while studying their Masters degrees. Alex proposed in Paris on Alice’s birthday. He had planned to propose on a leisurely afternoon walk through the Tuileries gardens, but an unfortunately timed downpour meant a last minute change of location to their hotel room! The bride says the proposal certainly took her by surprise as she was rummaging around her suitcase for an umbrella and looked up to find him on one knee, ring in hand!
The Dress
The bride looked stunning in her Caroline Castigliano Belle designer wedding gown with the Nadia Veil and Karenina lace shrug.
“I loved the way it moved – despite being a full skirt I loved the way it floated effortlessly. The style of the dress is just so timeless and elegant. Also, I loved the fact that I got two looks in one dress. I didn’t need to decide between the more traditional lace sleeves and a glamorous evening look”.
The Venue
Alice and Alex both loved the idea of a wedding venue in London as this is the city they started their life together. They fell in love with the Corinthia Hotel the moment they stepped foot inside and knew it was the place for them once they had seen the ballroom.
The Wedding Flowers
The beautiful wedding Flowers were created by Apoointment Only. The bridal bouquet contained a mixture of pink and white peonies, roses and sweet peas.
Best moment of the day
“It’s so tough to choose just one, but it would have to be walking down the aisle and seeing my husband-to-be looking back at me and grinning ear to ear!! Any nerves I had vanished immediately and I just couldn’t wait to say I do”.
Tips for brides to be
“It’s hard to do, but try to relax. Especially in the morning just before the ceremony. There’s so much to do and as time starts running out it’s easy to get overwhelmed or panic that something will go wrong. Just remember, the day flies by so quickly – it’s not worth spending any of it worrying! Just relax and enjoy and everyone will have a great time. Even if small things don’t go quite to plan, you’ll still have the most wonderful day of your life”.
