THE LOVE STORY
A chance meeting on a Mayfair night out, a friendship that gradually became something more, and a surprise Christmas Day proposal at Home House, Francesca and Ed’s love story has always had London at its heart.

After more than four years engaged, the couple made it official with an intimate civil ceremony at the iconic Marylebone Town Hall, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The celebrations continued at 34 Mayfair, where a fabulous live band, plenty of friends and an evening that eventually ended on the dance floor made the day feel unmistakably them, joyful, relaxed and full of love.

THE DRESS
For the ceremony, Francesca wore the Day Dream gown by Caroline Castigliano. Having originally imagined herself getting married in a suit, she discovered the dress unexpectedly while visiting the Knightsbridge atelier, and immediately knew it was the perfect look for her London wedding.
Made to fit her beautifully, the gown was personalised with covered buttons continuing all the way down the back, a detail Francesca particularly loved. With its impeccable cut, hidden corsetry and effortlessly elegant silhouette, she described feeling “beautiful”, comfortable and, most importantly, like a bride.

What was your favourite detils of your civil wedding look?
“Definitely the buttons all the way down the back. There’s something so beautifully bridal about delicate covered buttons - they made me so happy. And the cut of the dress… just wow!”
One of the most emotional moments came as Francesca walked into the ceremony with her mother to Bluebird by Alexis Ffrench and saw Ed waiting for her. The nerves disappeared, replaced by smiles, a few tears and plenty of laughter , setting the tone for the celebrations that followed.

From a quiet first drink together as husband and wife at The Hart on Chiltern Street to their mini first dance to I Love You Baby, the day was a wonderfully personal celebration of their relationship , and the perfect London prelude to their larger wedding celebrations in France.
