Alexandra & Yiannis Romantic Seaside Wedding in Cyprus
Beautiful Castigliano bride Alexandra married husband Yiannis in Cyprus on the 23rd of June. She says:
We married in small village called Kato Drys in Cyprus which is where my grandmother grew up so is particularly special for my family. It has a really magical feel, and Yianni and I knew it was the perfect venue for us as soon as we visited the church together.
The bride looked breathtaking in her Caroline Castigliano guipure lace and silk organza luxury wedding gown from the Knightsbridge flagship store.
I absolutely loved my gown. The silk organza is particularly beautiful and I had a lot of fun with it swirling around on the dance floor and running in the sand during our separate photoshoot on the sand dunes!
Yiannis proposed in the couples flat one Friday night before they went on a trip to Paris to celebrate his birthday.
It was really sweet, when I walked in there were balloons, photos, champagne…of course I immediately knew what was happening before he asked the question!
The couple celebrated the wedding in true Cypriot style following beautiful traditions.
Musicians led a procession of me, my family and friends to the church, dancing through the village to meet Yianni at the church entrance. It was my favourite part of the day when I turned the corner and saw him waiting.
The reception was held by the sea at the Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol.
My dream was to have a romantic wedding by the sea and on the day it was exactly what I had dreamed of, thanks to our wedding planners, “Splendid Events”.
What did you enjoy the most about your Caroline Castigliano experience?
The fittings. The first fitting was the most enjoyable moment as it was the first time I could try on my own dress. I was really lucky to be measured by Caroline herself who is absolutely brilliant and a real perfectionist! I knew immediately I was in safe hands. The fitter who looked after me throughout the process, Elise, was also excellent and made the entire experience really enjoyable.
Any tips for brides-to-be?
Enjoy every minute of your engagement period and your wedding day. It is the most special time. The feeling of immense love and affection that we both felt that weekend was indescribable and will stay with us forever.
