SENIOR GARMENT TECHNICIAN
Based in Grantham, Lincolnshire

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated, commercially minded Garment Technician with a proven record in delivering successful results. Our brand, and luxury flagship store, is acknowledged as being at the very pinnacle of this prestigious, fashionable and uniquely luxurious environment where only the ultimate in customer service will suffice. We create exquisite hand crafted bespoke, MTO and MTM bridal and evening wear in the United Kingdom.

Job Role

  • Provide technical support to all areas of the production department.
  • Assist in reviewing the most practical and cost – effective method of sewing (with consideration to alterations) whilst maintaining the original quality and appearance perceived by the designer in liaison with the design department.
  • Involvement with design department to receive handover of new collections each season and ensure style packs are detailed as required and accurate to the gown.
  • Oversee make of first production sample and achieve sign off with Design room manager & designer.
  • Review all orders received from a technical perspective and write up any non-standard order instructions into a format where they can be entered onto the production system and understood by all departments, including writing instructions for MTM’s / amendments to patterns etc.
  • Amend patterns both prior and post toile fitting either manually or on CAD/CAM.
  • Produce MTM patterns using CAD /CAM system.
  • Assist in supervising the internal sewing department to monitor productivity and quality. Provide training and motivation where necessary, to achieve weekly targets.
  • Liaise and visit with outworkers to monitor maintain, and improve standards of quality and cost of make, providing instruction and training where necessary.
  • Ensure all finished gowns are made and shipped to our accepted quality standards (as defined by the MD).
  • Deal with any Stockist’s queries after receipt of a gown and monitor and process customer returns to a satisfactory resolution. Investigate issues of concern to establish cause, then formulate solutions to avoid repeat. Develop procedures to avoid repetitive mistakes.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Manual pattern cutting to an above average standard.
  • Experience of Pattern making CAD/CAM systems, Vetigraph a distinct advantage.
  • Experience of corsetry desirable.
  • Good understanding of different sewing techniques and garment construction.
  • Ability to communicate with people of all backgrounds both internally and externally.
  • Ability to plan own workload, recognising priorities in relation to the smooth and efficient function of the overall business.
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft packages.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant industry degree.

ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER
Based in Grantham, Lincolnshire

We have an exciting opportunity to join a small specialist company who are expanding overseas both in terms of sales and procurement. Our products are sold via the prestigious Castigliano showroom in Knightsbridge, London and a growing network of specialist stockists, both in the UK and around the world.

The primary job function is to assist the production manager in producing individual pieces with the ultimate objective of ensuring on time delivery of each and every product to a stringent quality control level.

Specific responsibilities include managing raw materials, both stock and future requirements, progressing and chasing orders, planning the requirement of long lead time items to be ordered speculatively, and prioritising resources including assisting with the management of the cutting and machining department.

Typically, the successful candidate will be a driven individual looking for a long-term production management career in the “high end” fashion industry, who has a “hands on” production background with an in depth understanding of all stages of garment manufacturing from fabrics to distribution.

Responsibilities

  • To assist with the planning of fabric and other raw material requirements and placing orders to achieve required delivery dates. Progressing orders to ensure that raw mats are on site before they are required.
  • Scheduling and creation of production markers.
  • Assisting with the production planning and management to ensure that production is prioritised and that output targets are met.
  • Managing WIP and stock. Ensure that cut work is complete and sent to outworkers in timely fashion. Monitor progress and chase outstanding work back in as necessary.
  • Assisting with the procurement of externally sourced finished product such as dresses, bags, accessories and packing materials.
  • To assist with shipping (import and export).
  • To assist with the logistical organisation of trade shows.
  • To assist with the operation of internal production systems, accuracy of data and assisting with the preparation of reports on a regular basis.
  • To instil a luxury ethic and champion the Caroline Castigliano brand.

Essential Skills

  • Understanding of scheduling, spreadsheets and systems
  • Good general understanding of the Textile industry including patterns, fabrics and the garment construction process, primarily woven but also knits
  • Purchasing and price negotiation experience
  • Planning, prioritising, able to plan supply chain and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of import and export Logistics

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years managerial experience in an apparel manufacturing facility
  • Exposure to logistics and procurement (ideally in a “high end” or luxury goods environment)

Salary £24k dependent on experience

SOCIAL MEDIA AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE
(Knightsbridge, London or Grantham, Lincolnshire)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Social Media & Marketing Executive to manage the day-to-day management of social media projects, including content calendar creation and project management. The Social Media & Marketing Executive will report into the Marketing Manager and will be responsible for planning and implementing an effective social media strategy to support all business objectives. You will take direction from the Marketing Manager to execute content for weekly and monthly marketing campaigns across several social media platforms. This role will have a direct link to improving sales and brand awareness.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Providing day to day management of all social media platforms.
  • Drive social media communications & ongoing development of our digital presence.
  • Working with all departments to create maximum awareness of our products, events and initiatives through social media platforms.
  • Implementing social media plans to maintain our luxury profile as the UK’s leading Bridal and evening wear brand
  • Creating and managing content for each social media platform to ensure consistency across all platforms
  • Create innovative content formats that will work on social media platforms, such as animation, video, photos, images.
  • Monitoring social media sites, reporting activity and trends using social media monitoring tools.
  • Proactively identifying social media content that may impact our business
  • Build and develop strong relationships with media, influencers, blogger outreach, influencers and stylists
  • Developing reports for social media activity including providing social media analytics to marketing campaign managers and measuring and reporting the overall impact of social media activity on the business.
  • Implementing paid social media marketing initiatives to support the retail and wholesale divisions
  • Develop CRM and creating weekly newsletters
  • Supporting with event organization including in store events and tradeshows
  • Organizing lookbook and campaign shoots

Your experience will include:

  • 2 years + social media and digital communications experience
  • Proven experience of using and developing social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Google +, Youtube, WordPress, Linked In) to promote and build a brand
  • Excellent written and copywriting skills
  • Demonstrable skills of increasing social media engagement and managing social media campaigns, being able to work well in a team, show attention to detail and the ability to work under time pressure.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Create Suite including Photoshop and InDesign

MARKETING MANAGER
